Brenda M. Breaux is Executive Director of the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority, where she provides strategic leadership for an agency focused on affordable housing, commercial revitalization, land stewardship, and green infrastructure development. She joined NORA as Chief Operating Officer in 2012 and was unanimously appointed Executive Director by the agency's Board of Commissioners in 2016. Breaux previously served as Senior Chief Deputy City Attorney for the City of New Orleans, with responsibility for housing, real estate development, finance, and the Mayor's Blight Initiative, and she served as Deputy Executive Director for the Housing Authority of New Orleans. She holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Spelman College and a Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, and she is a licensed attorney.
