Josh Fleig

Josh Fleig is Louisiana's first Chief Innovation Officer at Louisiana Economic Development, where he is responsible for building a cohesive strategy that drives innovation across the state. His portfolio includes supporting startups, commercializing research, shaping technology policy, and managing the grants, incentives, and investment capital that help businesses convert ideas into economic growth, including oversight of the Louisiana Growth Fund. Fleig first joined LED in 2012 and became the lead architect behind the growth of the state's technology industry over the following decade. He was instrumental in creating the state's Entertainment Development Fund and in designing the largest venture capital program in state history under the U.S. State Small Business Credit Initiative. Prior to LED, he was Director of Media & Brands at SinglePoint. He studied interaction design at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
